Form 2100, Schedule G Filing Requirements Limited

In a Report and Order released April 13, 2018, the FCC revised Commission rules to require the filing of Form 2100, Schedule G only to those DTV broadcast stations that “actually provided feeable ancillary or supplemental services during the relevant annual reporting period.” Thankfully, the Commission again noted the unnecessary burdens on a substantial number of broadcasters (only 12 stations reported revenues from ancillary or supplemental services out of over 6000 stations required to file the Schedule G.) The record also reflected no negative impact on the Commission’s ability to comply with the statutory requirements to collect the fees owed. Public interest is served as more unnecessary and wasteful burdens are eliminated from the broadcaster’s regulatory to do list.
