FCC Resets Class A / LPTV / TV Translator Filing Schedule

In a November 17^th Public Notice, the FCC reset its previously announced schedule of dates for Class A, LPTV and TV translator major change applications and for new LPTV and TV translator station applications.  A freeze on major change applications remains in effect until it is lifted on December 18. A temporary freeze on minor change applications (including displacement applications) will go into effect December 11.  Applications filed during these scheduled windows will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

We have learned from the FCC staff that the application form for new LPTV and TV translator stations will not become available in LMS until approximately a week or so before the March 19, 2026 start date for such applications.
